VII

Counting weeks for titles is easier then coming up with names. So not much to report. School is keeping me busy with exams and such. We have another midterm as well as a quiz this week.
Today was the first time since I started school that I my body actually knows today is sunday and that I also don't have school tomorrow. It's been super hard for my brain and body to get used to having mondays off. It's just so different from what I'm used to. Even with work this summer I normally only worked monday to thursday, school was the same last year. But this year we go tuesday to friday. Same amount of hours/days but just having mondays off throws me for a loop.

I did a photo session with my classmate Anna and her adorable family yesterday in a beautiful park that's pretty close to school. I still find myself being a super HUGE critic of myself. I also really don't have practice photographing young children. I have practiced my godkids but Anna's kid are the about the same age they are, and well I haven't gotten a ton of practice photographing them lately. It's a quick on your toes kind of shooting. And click a ton. It's super different from couple sessions. Even when one in the couple isn't wanting to be photographed anymore they normally suck it up. But when you have a 3 year old being photographed right next to playground equipment it's kind of hard. They tend to loose focus after 30 minutes. Which I need to learn how to manage my time when they are focused better. I think experience will also teach me what to start with as far as posing. Next time I should start with the sitting and standing holding hands one first and then move to the mom and dad holding them near the end. Then they can more or less corral them while holding them. Overall I know I got some killer shots, not as many as I wanted but I'm being greedy. I also am glad it's someone in my class, she knows work load from school is kinda heavy right now and she understands if I take a while to get them done. So that's awesome.

Other then that, Walking Dead was on tonight. Was pretty good. I didn't watch talking dead like I wanted to... decided to try and be somewhat responsible and do some studying/reading.

Onto pictures!

So the day finally came... my external hard drive filled up. But I have the bestest fiancé in the world and he went out and picked me up a new 3tb external. :) *crossing my fingers for no problems*

 Don't look mom!
This is another student life picture. I didn't have any small cups and I wanted milk and cookies.... so I used my measuring cup. It worked perfect! The things they don't teach you at home.

 Another mom don't look moment.
I was mock drawing this up on myself. Kind of what I want. Of course my artistic skills in drawing really suck, my line work is atrocious and I want the flower to be more artsie looking with hardly any black and way more white in it. I do like the concept of the surrounding design though.

Thanksgiving long, Chris and I going out to hang with my cousin Carrie and her family. I also picked up the new Samsung Galaxy S4.

Took this picture with my cars hood symbol and my ring :)

My car likes to waste my money. Point in case here. The gas line came off. Mostly because cold claps and lines and I had trouble with is this summer too. Hoses and clamps are getting old. Little story on this though: so I go to leave for the drift event and pull my car out of the garage, but not before unloading some tires from the back. So I pull forward and then I see dad checking out the puddle, I walk over and have a smell. "ahh damnit! not again!" was my response. Go and take a quick look to confirm my suspicions that it was same problem again. Yup it was. Turn it off. Dad grabs screwdrivers and I take a look. Yup, exact same clamp/hose, bottom side of the filter. So dad comes over and tries to reach under and its a tight fit to get my hands in there, and dads are bigger then mine. I go "want me to try and get at it?" "no no I got it" as he says this he goes to pull the filter out of the side clamp that holds it. I go "umm I don't know if you want to do that..." as he already pulls it off. "I got this" was his response, "Okay should be good to go" he says after he puts it back into the clamp. I start it up and I hear "ahh dang, turn it off". I think in my head, yup, that top clamp and line came loose, just like it did before when I pulled it out of the clamp. I walk around the front, and dad goes "damn top clamp/hose came loose", my response "yup same thing happened to me when I did this last" Father like daughter? lol

Spent some time with my goddaughter. You can see how she colored the wall for her mom here. Lol I asked her about it, she doesn't even deny it lol

New phone comes with pano option. SO COOL! tried it out in Chris' truck

Chris and his niece feeding the puppies

Pano of my room. Yes it's messy.. I know.

Jenna and I always watch Ellen. It's like surround sound in our apartment. This past week the Swiffer commercial couple was on. They are so cute!

 Thats them!

Maybe I do go to Hogwarts... Dumbledore appeared on campus last week, hair and beard and all

Hair do! First attempt at this

Before exam lunch. Bananas are supposed to be a natural anxiolytic (anti anxiety), eggs are supposed to help you remember/concentrate, and a classmate had a hash brown from Tim Hortons right before lunch so I was craving them. I burnt the eggs... I didn't know you could burn eggs. Well let me tell you, you can. And they taste awful. They don't look that bad but let me tell you they were horrible.

Last but not least I found this song today and I am not obsessed. I think it's the harmonica in it. It has a different feel to the beginning that I like.

V / VI

So busy busy busy busy, so busy it required four busys to describe it. Not only is school its normal self and monopalizing my time but one of my good friends got married in Stoon this past weekend and I really wanted to go. So I managed to get caught up on my homework and took a flight out saturday and came back sunday night. Then Monday I was up at 5am then to the hospital for '12' hrs. While I like being busy and seeing so many things and getting to be so hands on, it's exhausting. And to think of the school work I still am left to do is tiring. I don't know what makes me more tired sometimes the thought of all the work or actually doing the work :/ I only finished 1.5 things on my to-do list tonight. Mostly because I was researching and looking up things for my assignment for about 3 hours :/ I was taking breaks in there so it wasn't straight, thankfully. I still have to eJournal about the hospital, study for 311 on friday, and finish this assignment.

The wedding this weekend was amazing! Everything was so beautiful! I'm so glad I wore waterproof mascara. I liked the fact too that Chris and I can see things done that we possibly want to do, and we discuss things that we really want to do and possible want to dos and things we would do different. It's super helpful!

Anyways my brain has shut off, sorry if i'm not completely coherent. I made a rant post earlier today... still is under my skin about that :|

Also I seem to have lost my favorite pink and blue pen... when I have no idea :/ boo :(

So I don't think i've posted this picture yet... anyways this is our shower curtain. I remeber one day getting in crap from my mom for ripping the first hole on the clear sheet. Well it wasn't me... and neither was this, but I was the one who fixed it. It's called the student fix. Yes, it is stapled together, no, I don't care enough to spend money on a new one or to spend time unhooking it and reversing it. This works just fine as a matter of fact.

On our way to the reception, I was a little camera happy. I was also mad because I forgot to take pictures pre reception where my hair was nice and down and curly... think thats why I went over board on the pre reception pictures

So Becky ad Chad had a photo booth and it was pretty cool. But it was really popular so I made my own photobooth when I figured out that iPhones can take pictures really fast. Yes it is crappy androids take forever to snap compared to an iPhone. I still love my android but I really wish it had this capability. Also iPhone seemed to take WAY better low light photos.

Told ya I went camera happy...

And one last one.... there was almost 200 photos I took on Chris' phone.. hehehe

One of the centre pieces at the wedding. So pretty!!

Flying to Stoon!

Chillin in the hall before lab

Anyone wondering what we actually do in class. Here's a quick itsy bitsy glimpse into what kind of stuff we do. If you can read the assignment, then we had to figure out the calculations to figure out the settings to change on the ventilator.

I miss my car :( didn't get to drive it that much this summer :( boo Hope to be soon shopping for a new winter car for next year. Biggest question is to import or buy local?

Lab today was trachs! Our teachers came through and gave us some protective eye wear, I was putting my glasses on everyone. Just stylin!

I was a pt and took a stealth photo of a classmate hehehe

Me as a trach patient.... don't I look smashing! I actually wanted nothing to do with getting ready this morning. Hair was no cooperating, make up barely made it on, I managed clothes and a ponytail eventually.

Jenna being a trach pt, I wasn't taking care of her but her bed was next to ours :D

Supper I made last week. Was soooo good!!

Water I started putting together last week. Strawberries, lemon, and mint! So good!

Mid day rant

First off I think this joke is more or less a waste of time, if anything this should be done before we go into SIM. ( RT Clinical Practice 317)

Today I was wavering as to whether to even come to class. I decided that since I was going to go home and do nothing or go to class and more or less do nothing. This class is about critical thinking, don’t get me wrong I think that’s a good skill to learn, but not something to talk about for 2 hrs and bore us to death with a powerpoint for 2 hours, my brain hates this class. That’s why I think we should be given a quick 30 minute lecture on this stuff before we go into sim, somewhere we are going to actually use the skill.

Not only is this class a iffy kind of learning class.  But today we got our faces chewed off for not doing two long readings on other people self reflection. I’m sorry I have so much crap to do and my own self reflection that I don’t have time to read someone elses long a$$ write up.  But we still all got chewed out for 15 minutes, which I believe was completely uncalled for.

I’m on lack of sleep/super tired from doing prac in the hospital. My day started at 5am, I didn’t get break until 2pm, I was starving and had lost all my steam. Today my body is still out of whack, I’m tired and hungry and just got my face ripped off.

I am SO done with this day… and it’s not even half over.
