So this past week was a unanimously voted Hell Week. It was pretty rough, we had a lot on our plates; 303 quiz, 315 quiz, online ABG quiz, 311 assignment, two pre labs, ejournal, and 3 competencies (skill assessments). Lets just say it was piled high. Anyways that's over with now so this weekend I did a little bit of retail therapy :D . I picked up some more tea, and some soap, and then I got two nice long sleeves shirts from the gap on 35% off. I also went to the Le Chateau outlet and got $175 worth of stuff for $28 and out of that I used a $25 gift card from christmas, so really I only paid $3 :D Even shopping was rewarding.
So far i've been really happy with the marks I've been getting. I even got my first 100% on a quiz :D I'm really liking learning about this baby stuff, so much more then the adult stuff.
So while doing my retail therapy, there were people protesting abortions on the main street by the mall. Not only do I not agree with them I was thoroughly disgusted that they had 15/16 year old girls and a guy holding these grotesque pictures. Some of the pictures were not even properly representing the fetus. Over all make me angry. I kept my head phones in while I walked to the mall but the girl approached me while I was waiting to cross the road again. Lets just say we had a heated debate about where we each stand on the matter. I ended it with "My hands are cold, and until you sit at the bedside of a woman who has been raped and force her to keep her baby for 9 months or until you have to tell a woman that her baby has no brain but she will have to stay pregnant for the remaining months I don't believe you are appropriately informed on this matter." And I turned and left. Do I agree that it is a very very fine line of taking away the babies rights or the mothers, yes I believe that is a line I hope to never come across. I don't believe either should have their rights taken away but in some situation a decision should be made. I don't believe it is anyone elses right to tell someone what they can and can not do with their body.
This morning I went for brunch with a few Calgary friends of mine. The food was delicious! so so good! I also realized that I once again hate not having a car here. The drive to this place would have been 10 minutes... the train ride and walk was 47 minutes! It sucked! But it was really nice out so I didn't mind. But I managed to figure out how to fit my brace into my heeled boots. I haven't worn them in a long time, I haven't wore heels in a long time. :/ sore feet now :( Price for looking good.
Simpsons just came on and this was the episode of Lisa and Megan debating :)
Brunch outfit, got the scarf at Le Chateau, and the shirt at the Gap. Super comfy.
The boots that hurt my feet
Downtown today
Ended up in this closure yesterday while trying to get to Chinook
Had to take my favorite mode of transportation :| NOT! Met some people on the way to figure out where the bus was to take us to the part of the train that was working. A cute old german man, he was probably 75+ and was really confused as to why there was no train.
The what looked to be 15/16 year olds holding the posters :| sooo not impressed
When I have kids I hope they turn out this cool

Well! What a time this has been! In the last week I have been on an emotional roller coaster!
This past sunday September 15th my boyfriend Chris proposed to me at a restaurant here in Calgary. Of course I said yes! I was going to go into detail about the proposal but then I thought nahh I'll leave that for people to ask me so I can tell them :)
Anyways life had more in plan for me to experience. Monday I went to practicum at Rockyview Hospital and I got to do a ton of things. My preceptors were AWESOME. One of the down sides of the day was I saw my first patient die. The lady was elderly, and they had been doing cpr for a long time before they were even able to get her to the hospital. It was rough, it made me think of my grandma. I was really thankful for the experience that I got to see it. I wanted to experience a code before I was going to be thrown into one and have to not loose it while trying to bag or get an airway. My preceptor talked to me after in a very informal way, we talked, shared stories and had a good walk outside in the sunshine. Overall I am so thankful for my experiences.
Back to the good stuff! So yes I am engaged!! It's still sinking in really, especially with the monday I had. The biggest question people are having is "ooo when is it!", of course everyone wants to know... so do I! lol But the thing is I'm in school for another two years (I write final final exams in 2015). I also have a lot of things in mind that I really want. Now wait, i'm not talking castle and swans and doves and things, but there are things I don't want to not get just because we want to have the wedding sooner and not have the money for it. I'd rather work for a little bit and have the wedding I (and of course Chris) want.
We have talked about bridal party and things but we are keeping most things hush until we finalize anything. I also want to ask my bridal party in a cool way (haven't decided yet). Also we haven't decided on final of how big we want the bridal party.
My biggest thing is can anyone give me a good estimate of a cost of a wedding in Saskatchewan? I would love an upper and lower limit. I don't even know what to guess at and that frustrating. I was looking at wedding planner type things online and on pinterest and holy wow is there a lot to plan. I know I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and I'm pretty sure between pausing GTA5 to txt me back Chris was feeling the same. But in our favor we have awesome families who I know will help us out with planning and opinions as well as we have time on our side. :)
I was sick this weekend but my wonderful friends gave me some authentic Chinese medicine and it worked awesome
First picture of the ring. Sent to mom and dad :)
Char Cut restaurant was awesome
The bill had this paper clip attached. We had a good laugh

I
Well week one is down! I always seem to feel a little lost like I'm behind the wave. Well this weekend I finished both pre labs, and I'm working through reading the week two readings after finishing week 1's already. The next weekends after this one I have stuff going on (hopefully) so i want to try and get a head... well that's a little ambitious, maybe just on top of the wave. Right now we are learning baby things, which I think helps me get more into learning it. I like to learn the differences between adult and baby, it makes me remember the adult and try and compare the two as I learn about them.
Right now i'm multitasking... which I can't really do, but i'm trying. I have a guilty pleasure, which I don't always indulge but I managed to have the tv on and catch it. I like to watch Sister Wives. There I admitted it. I don't follow it, but it really does intrigue me on who the dynamic works. It boggles my mind thinking one guy could have 4 wives, I'm not saying it's right or it's wrong, but just different than societal norms of this time. Which brings me to the complete right wing thinkers... I know a few. That is one thing that I don't hold back my opinion when talking to them, to tell them they are narrow minded and sometimes rude. I'm talking about the religious people who their 'God' is the only 'God' and blah blah blah, or the people who are completely against gay people. That is what I think is wrong, the narrow minded people who can't open their eyes to see the other possibilities in this world. I can't stand the people who shove their religion down others throats, or who can't open their minds to the fact that people can love people of the same sex, why can't they? they aren't making you come into the bedroom with them, they aren't asking your permission, let them have their love the way they want. I could carry on forever on this topic. My view, chillax, take a breath, look around, try and walk a mile in their shoes before you can even think about forming an opinion on something that isn't the societal norm.
Okay onto a lighter topic. School! okay so not so light, but while i'm on a rant I might as well say that this whole release the book list less then two weeks before school starts, really sucks. I'm assuming the book list has to be finalized sometime in summer if not before summer starts. Send it out to us. It really blows for the students out of province to try and pick our books up the day of classes or the week of classes. Especially when the books are sold out and the book store doesn't even know when or if they are getting more. :/ frustrating.
So this week I also found out my second MRI actually showed something in the scans. At first I was like, "YAY! I'm not crazy!". If you don't know the story; I'm on my second specialist to try and figure out what is wrong with my ankle. I called the specialist office earlier this week, and got a call back a few days later. They told me the ligament in my ankle is ripped/torn and there is nothing that can be done to fix it. GREAT!! :/ I was so frustrated with what she was telling me I got upset at the fact that nothing could be done to fix it. They told me that I had to wear the brace and let it heal itself. I didn't get more information that I should have asked her. :/ I guess I could call back, but they always tell me that I have to make an appointment. Well that's awesome expect that I'm not back until the long weekend in October, then possibly long weekend in Nov and so on. Well normally doctors offices aren't open long weekends :/ hence why I even got my results over the phone. Not that it really helped anyways. i posted it on my facebook and got a lot of responses actually. I think I'm going to look around for a good acupuncturist, I did some reading online and it says that ligaments take a while to heal because they don't get the most awesomest O2 supply. I think it would almost be better to throw me in a cast so that it would heal. Because I don't know when I am supposed to start rehabbing it or when it is still healing :/
Anyways onto the pictures!
This picture is from last year, but once again my car is back in the garage :(
I took a quick trip to Chinook mall this weekend. I picked up some teas to try out! So far there's only one that isn't so much to my liking (Pink Lemonade)
Had this one for breakfast, soooooo good!!!
This is broken. :/ The silver piece thats the front cover thing came crashing down, just about on my head. thankfully I was trying to pull my blinds up and the one side fell and then suddenly the other side fell. I think sometimes with all the spiders I was probably bitten by at the cabin has given me super fast reaction time... but only sometimes
Day in and day out :/ boo Also you can see my shellack pedicure has grown out by a lot :/
Mhhhmmm supper I threw together the other night
These lines get super itchy sometimes :/ But I feel if I don't crank it on it's not holding my ankle together
This has been lately.. I had to double check that I haven't moved to Vancouver
I noticed someone did this... really? this is so half a$$ed it's sad
Cheddar, bacon, chive dip I whipped up. It's a dip mix I got from my mom. It's soooo freaken good!
This morning Calgary disappeared :/
This was the pink lemonade steeping.... Didn't taste as good as it looked or smelt :/
SO GOOD!

Back in the slammer!
Well I was going to write a post last night, being my first night by myself back in the 'ol slammer. But I ended up falling asleep to futurama... oopps sorry.
So I arrived back to campus Saturday with the help of my parents and Chris. I swear I brought less stuff then last time but Chris kept making fun of me that I brought more stuff. I think I let it get to me actually. I like to think I want to live a simple life. But really I do have a lot of stuff. I'm not a horder by any means but I just have a lot of stuff.
Moving this time I found easier, didn't have to buy as much, stuff was still packed from last year, just all around easier. I managed to get a room on 18th floor, so one up from last year and on the west side, so facing the mountains. I LOVE it! So much quieter then the east side.
So I realize I've been MIA since July, and well I tried to write, I honestly did. I've come up with many-a things to write about. Just never took the time to actually write them down :/ so now I forget a lot of them. I was smart and wrote a few down in my phone. But for now I will just do a massive photo upload. Since I'm in school now and will need to rant more often you will more then likely be so overwhelmed with all of my posts you won't know what to do with yourself besides stay up at all hours and read them.
Speaking of school, today was the first official day back at 'er. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't so jaded about getting a lab sent to us two weeks ago that was due today. Yes I finished it, but give us at least our entire break. Then another one due tomorrow and an ejournal due friday. ahh joys. I also saw a new first year walking around this morning. ... it was weird. not so much in the bad weird, but weird weird. I was a first year, now im not, now someone else is wearing the grey scrubs and I don't know them. (Year before were always red)
So that's all I can think of at the moment. I have high blood pressure over the lab that's due tomorrow at the moment. It stresses me out that I know this stuff but can't recall it :/
Homework I was doing while on vacation still. Ended up getting mad that I wasn't organized enough
My somewhat supper. Superstore sometimes has awesome stuff. I'm still not used to thinking ahead and planning my meals... this is what came of that.
Throw back to summer, my parents bought a new boat so I made it my mission to learn to wake board. I finally figured it out! yay!
My momma being patient while I learn to wake board
Cleaning up my mess (no idea whats with the elvis smile :/ )
My Aunty being the photographer she is
Some of mom's flowers at the beach. Absolutely beautiful
Before I finished up work this was a big to-do that happened. Somehow the window cracked on the 19th floor and eventually ended up falling piece by piece out. There is a inside pane, I've been told this happens in new buildings....
Two of the many outdoor pets here at SAIT
My view <3
First day back in scrubs
Got the pleasure :| of having not one ... but TWO MRI's this summer and still not knowing what is wrong. My ankle is buggered :/ This last time I got to rock the yellow hospital pants
I entered a random contest with SAIT residence and I won... I was stunned. I never win. This is awesome!
