The Hit

So I thought i'd write this out here. While it's fresh so I remember it
3:47 - glance at clock while on reddit and realize mom called and asked to meet her down town for 4 ish.
Head out thinking ahh 4ish, i'm sure i'll get there just as she's trying on glasses

3:55 ish - i'm stopping at the intersection of 9th (ring road) and Pasqua, at a red light. Thinking about how much traffic there is. Also notice the full sized truck infront of me has a flip down screen and someone in the back is watching a movie. Also start to think about if those trucks come stock with the flip down or if it's after market. Also start trying to figure out what the person is watching.

Second later - corner of my eye see blue and white in my review mirror

Not even a blink later - impact

Open eyes - reach for brake, can't reach it. *oh shit* look in my lap and pic up my glasses that were knocked off my face. take a big breath in. *okay I can't breath, owie chest hurts* take off my seat belt and notice people running to the vehicles behind me.

I get out. People are yelling that 911 has been called. Try calling mom. no answer. call dad. tell him what happened. I notice lady that impacted me is being helped by a bystander. I go to the truck behind her. Guy looks hurt. Get him to open the door, he's hurt his neck. I tell him not to move. I notice a first aid kit in his truck. I move on to the car that caused the accident. see it's bad. Try the passenger door. it's crumpled to badly. Try back door, nope locked. Other side is locked as well. Drivers door is partially bent open. Bystander is checking pulse and for breaths. I go to truck in front and ask the guy for his first aid kit. as person had pulse and was breathing.

___

Noted after everything calmed down: the impact shoved my seat back, hence why I couldn't reach the peddles. Not sure if my chest hit the steering wheel or just the seat belt impact is causing my chest pain. The force of the impact has partially opened my ask tray and drink holder. Ash tray is harder to open.
