I'm in the last week of my second year of school. We get to write 5 exams in 4 days and then I am "off" for 3 weeks. Not really though, because the teachers have once again mucked it up. This new program design has been a challenge in itself, besides having difficult schooling. We now have to complete a lab manual before we come back the last weekend of May. Now most would be like, well that's not bad. No it's not, but once again the people from out of town get thrown off the bus. The teachers informed us that the lab manuals won't be in the bookstore till at least May 5th. Not bad, 2 weeks ish to finish... but wait, what about everyone that is moving out of town at the end of April. Teachers response "ohh umm ya, about that, well I guess you have to get someone to ship you the manual" Great, awesome, thank you very much for considering us out of towners. I sometimes wonder if the teachers/program thinks that out of town students are rich. Did someone not tell em I have a money tree growing somewhere, I seem to have misplaced mine. Another expense out of the pocket.
Speaking of expenses, in the last month between Chris and I have dropped a ton of cash :/ ya not to smart for a student. But it is all in the name of stuff we need for the future. Like a house, we bought a house :D it's a good starter house for us. Not the one we will live in forever (if we have any say about it), but it's a roof over our heads with things we really like about it. I wish the perfect timeline in my head worked out a bit better, if it had I would be working and we could have had two incomes to buy the house. But alas it did not, so we made due with what we do have.
In this last month I have also somewhat purchased a new car. For those who know me outside this blog you know that at one point I had two vehicles. A summer and then a more reliable/winter car. Since starting school I sold the reliable/winter vehicle since I haven't had any use for it in the last two years. Next winter I will need a new vehicle so I contacted a friend, and well lets just say I have a new winter vehicle sitting in Japanland. yay :D
So be prepared for the "I'm so poor" blog posts to come.
Also I made a post a while ago about buying a house, well a start to a post. I'll finish it up and post it once we move into the house come June. :)
Now since it's been forever, here is a massive dump of photos
(Excuse me if some of these are duplicates form previous posts)
So this is a path I walked last week. It's pretty cool, awesome view. My roommate showed it to me a little while ago, there are so many variations that I never have to walk the same one.
This is one of the views from the walk. Just gorgeous!
A good friend of mine took me to visit her friends and family one weekend and I got to play with horses and bunnies and Guinea pigs. :D
This is the horse I got to work with. I am such a sucker for paints/appys. He is beautiful!
I made these and took the tarts out to the farm/town with us that weekend
I also like to do my hair occasionally, I am inlove with the show Vikings.
Another different braid I tried out
This happens a lot to me.....
This handsome man drove 3 hours just to have lunch and ice cream with me <3
Got to go snowboarding in the mountains twice this year! new record! also pretty sad but still it was so much fun!
For christmas my parents got me a wakeboard set up, and the boots weren't in, in my size. So they stopped by on their world win tour and we picked up a set :)
This was part of the store we got my boot in. It was HUGE
At school during finals our student community holds different stress relievers. This was one, they bring in dogs and you get to hang out with them. They were all so chill. It was awesome
I miss a lot of things.... including my car
Some stuff I was studying. Instagram is really cool in which it has lead me to meet some sweet people that are interested in the same stuff. This picture I sent to a girl down in the states who's studying to do the same as me. We met through hashtags on instagram and we talk every so often. It's cool to talk about the differences in our programs.
The sign was broken on the top of the building, so for about 2 weeks these guys would repeatedly go up and down
Went to Chinook to pick up some tea the other weekend and this guy passes me. I was stunned and texted Chris about it. Then I came out another store and started going up the escalator when he passed me again... to each their own I guess
Tea I picked up should last me a while :)
Easter nails I painted
My awesome Easter basket I got, I know i'm spoiled :)
So the tea I got from Teavana I thought would taste good cold. And man was I right! So I rigged up this strainer in the middle of the Brita jug and headed my water and then poured it in. I felt like it didn't really get to steap that much. Kinda wish the spout going down into the bottom was smaller. Anyways the tea was great! I added a little big of extra sugar and then let it cool and it was seriously the best juice to have on hand.
More packing pictures
Saw this the other day while going to lunch with the ladies. Made me miss my car :(
Decorated some Easter eggs! Mom bought me this cool 24k gold egg coloring kit thing.
Bahaha this is my group in lab running experimental test on me. It seems I have really quite low reserve volumes so we were trying different positions to see if it made a difference. Prone = worse, sitting was below average and we never got a chance to see if standing made a difference
Few weeks ago the Tower was having water issues. The they called someone to fix it.... came back from class to a water park in the lobby. Something happened where the burst a pipe in the ceiling and it started raining down water from the ceiling
Favorite study snack = frozen grapes mmmhhhmmm
So I hope all the pictures work. Flickr (where I host them) has done some upgrading recently and it makes it more time consuming to link them all here :/
