So this past week was a unanimously voted Hell Week. It was pretty rough, we had a lot on our plates; 303 quiz, 315 quiz, online ABG quiz, 311 assignment, two pre labs, ejournal, and 3 competencies (skill assessments). Lets just say it was piled high. Anyways that's over with now so this weekend I did a little bit of retail therapy :D . I picked up some more tea, and some soap, and then I got two nice long sleeves shirts from the gap on 35% off. I also went to the Le Chateau outlet and got $175 worth of stuff for $28 and out of that I used a $25 gift card from christmas, so really I only paid $3 :D Even shopping was rewarding.
So far i've been really happy with the marks I've been getting. I even got my first 100% on a quiz :D I'm really liking learning about this baby stuff, so much more then the adult stuff.
So while doing my retail therapy, there were people protesting abortions on the main street by the mall. Not only do I not agree with them I was thoroughly disgusted that they had 15/16 year old girls and a guy holding these grotesque pictures. Some of the pictures were not even properly representing the fetus. Over all make me angry. I kept my head phones in while I walked to the mall but the girl approached me while I was waiting to cross the road again. Lets just say we had a heated debate about where we each stand on the matter. I ended it with "My hands are cold, and until you sit at the bedside of a woman who has been raped and force her to keep her baby for 9 months or until you have to tell a woman that her baby has no brain but she will have to stay pregnant for the remaining months I don't believe you are appropriately informed on this matter." And I turned and left. Do I agree that it is a very very fine line of taking away the babies rights or the mothers, yes I believe that is a line I hope to never come across. I don't believe either should have their rights taken away but in some situation a decision should be made. I don't believe it is anyone elses right to tell someone what they can and can not do with their body.
This morning I went for brunch with a few Calgary friends of mine. The food was delicious! so so good! I also realized that I once again hate not having a car here. The drive to this place would have been 10 minutes... the train ride and walk was 47 minutes! It sucked! But it was really nice out so I didn't mind. But I managed to figure out how to fit my brace into my heeled boots. I haven't worn them in a long time, I haven't wore heels in a long time. :/ sore feet now :( Price for looking good.
Simpsons just came on and this was the episode of Lisa and Megan debating :)
Brunch outfit, got the scarf at Le Chateau, and the shirt at the Gap. Super comfy.
The boots that hurt my feet
Downtown today
Ended up in this closure yesterday while trying to get to Chinook
Had to take my favorite mode of transportation :| NOT! Met some people on the way to figure out where the bus was to take us to the part of the train that was working. A cute old german man, he was probably 75+ and was really confused as to why there was no train.
The what looked to be 15/16 year olds holding the posters :| sooo not impressed
When I have kids I hope they turn out this cool
