As part of my christmas gift from my wonderful fiance, we went out to the mountains with a couple of our friends. It was amazing, we stayed on the mountain at Sunshine and it was phenomenal weather.
Now I am back in Regina for the rest of the week and just enjoying my time here. I always feel like there are so many people to see, and not enough time.
The other thing that has been keeping me busy lately is the fact that Chris and I are buying a house. I know I don't have to explain ourselves to anyone, but to keep somewhat of a record. A few weeks ago Chris had come up with the idea to see if we could get a mortgage. And well since he is the only only making money he went out and got it done. I really couldn't ask for a better guy. We had been looking for a rental place for sometime for when I am back in Regina to rent together. It didn't seem possible to find a place that would fit our wants that was under $1400. Which we found ridiculous. I still have yet to receive my schedule for my final year so I have no idea at this point if I can even work a part time job around my shifts and school.
So instead of paying around 25000 into someone elses pocket we discussed getting our own house. Now this won't be our dream house. But it could be a rental house for us in the future or at least a good stepping stone to our dream house. I can't wait to to start working so we can feel more comfortable with money.
So now we have started on the road to finding our first house. I wish they taught this in school, what to expect, what the steps are. Thankfully we have found really great people to work with and help us out.
This weekend we start looking :)
Chris made reservations for us at Japanese Village for Valentines day. Us hammin it up before the chef showed up
Marie and I
Drinks! I had a Chocolada, it tasted weird... but good
The chef cooking away
He was really funny
So before going out to the hill we had to stop at Future Shop and get some go pro pieces. Future Shop wasn't open yet and Petcetera shared a parking lot and they were open. I hate seeing all the unwanted animals but they are super cute.
This rabbit looked like velvet
Pano while driving
Cool mug that we found while shopping in Canmore (I think)
Pano of the hotel room
The hotel was quite nice
Chilling out at the hotel while Marie and Laurie played chess
Pano from the top of the parkade in Banff. (Pano is a new option to me)
Found this sign in the parkade. No dancing on your skateboard is what I guessed this was.
Mountains on the way home
I have gotten to see this ham a lot lately. Which is nice, I miss her growing up while being away. So even let me braid her hair today :)
