- if you don't have a vehicle here the transit is pretty damn good! Well the train is anyways. Yes I have encountered a few hiccups while using it but over all its generally on time and quick to get you where you need to go
- If you are going to SAIT it's worth it to check out and weigh the options of living in residence. Yes it is expensive, but ohh so very convenient
- The weather here is awesome, well okay maybe thats a stretch. But honestly I've worn my winter coat 3 times in the last 4 weeks. Now thats saying something.
- The views here are spectacular
There's plenty more but I'm having a brain block at the moment so I will carry on
I have lived on my own, and with people and now in a residence type situation. Living on my own and with other people is a great learning experience. I classified residence as it's own thing because really it is. I can't really compare it to living on my own or with other people. Yes I have a roommate in residence, but we don't have a living room or our own common area (theres a floor shared common area). The front doors are paper thin and I can hear everyone walking down our hall. The kitchens are tiny with minute (mInoot) counter space, and last but not least we don't have a bath, only a shower.
If I was coming back again to live here this would be a good list of things I would feel necessary to bring
- laptop or desktop (both is a little overkill but it actually has come in use)
- school supplies (pens, pencils, highlighters, books, ect)
- Clothes (obviously) (Summer, fall, winter, spring)
- Bedding
- Mattress topper!
- Mirror
- ipod
- gym runners
- extra blanket
- fan
Now for the kitchen and bathroom things I suggest making a list with your roommate (if you will have one) and decided who will bring what
- knives (and a sharpener!)
- plates (my roommate and I brought a set each and it worked well)
- cups
- travel mug
- cutlery (again we found we ran out of forks all the time so I brought more form my set)
- cutting boards
- pots x 2
- pans x2
- garbage can
- toaster over (not a must have but definitely is great having)
- a shelf for food (I bought one at ikea, works great because again there is practically no cupboard space here)
- shower curtain
- shower hooks x 2 (if you are living in SAIT residence for some reason they put their shower rad really really high. Even the extra length shower curtain isn't long enough so what we did was attach shower hooks to one another to double the length of them. it works well)
- bathroom garbage can
- basket for items to put put in on the shelves in the bathroom
- towels x3 or 4 (not 10 like I have... wayy to many)
- face clothes x3 or 4 again (again I have way to many)
I know I am missing stuff. But thats a general just. It probably doesn't interest anyone, but if anyone I know ever asks me if I have any advice for moving into residence, there it is.
My printer decided to act up this week... right after I had to send my laptop away. decided it didn't want to print black ink anymore. I have an awesome father who helped me track down a new one asap. He's awesome
I got this in the mail this week. My family really is amazing. I not only love getting mail but care packages make my week! maybe even month! There were so many goodies inside including pens and stickies! I am weird but I like cool colored pens and stickies.
This was also inside. A green spot cinnamon bun! I was so ecstatic when I saw this, of course it was in a container and I was surprised when I opened it and found this. These are the best cinnamon buns ever!
My lab tests. We are conducting these PFT tests on one another. This one is called an FVC, this one measures the function of the muscles of my breathing, and the gas flow in and out of the lungs.
(this one is really big if you click to view it big) A barber/hair salon just down from SAIT offer "Gluten Free Haircuts"
So earlier this week I saw a girl from the x-ray program walking around with a skeleton on the back of her sweater and instead of just a drawn skeleton it was the words for the bones that made up the picture. There is one floating around on the net that someone had done like this. But supposedly he won't reply to the comments to buy a copy of it to use it. It also wasn't specific to our program. I did one with my own words with help and input from the class. lol one of my favs that got put into the final was lung butter. lol this was 1/4 done
Breakfast... yes I do like some toast with my syrup
I haven't been snowboarding in what feels like forever. Coming up soon I'm going to the mountians for a weekend with Chris and another couple friends of ours, it will be a blast... as long as I don't break anything. lol
Snap chatting my supper
Last night my eyes turned a green color, it's been a while since I've noticed it happening. Normally goes this green color and then in the fall it's a orange color
